Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

Our service for the safe operation of your industrial plants.

Our civilisation requires the conversion of energy into electricity, heat or movement.

Are you responsible for the safe operation of a power plant, an industrial facility or a supply system with maximum availability?

It's good to have a strong partner at your side. With non-destructive ultrasonic testing, we reveal the integrity of components. In the event of suspicion or damage, we analyse and document these items with millimetre precision together with your experts.

Our ultrasonic testing services

at a glance

Manual (UT*)

Manual ultrasonic testing is the direct contact of the NDT engineer with the component.

With manual ultrasonic inspections, so-called manual scannings, we quickly and safely inspect components for which you need a quick inspection statement that conforms to standards.

Our certified NDT engineers provide you with immediate inspection results with which you can safely operate your component.

Mechanised (mUT*)

We perform mechanised ultrasonic testing on components that are difficult to access, made of materials that are difficult to inspect or have a complicated shape.

The ultrasonic data are recorded with precise coordinates and lead to detailed inspection results. We project these results in the coordinate system of the component in an understandable presentation. With these reproducible indication formats, you will convince all experts of the quality of your components.

We document all details of the mechanised data acquisition and evaluation in inspection reports in accordance with the standards. Our inspection team will be happy to design mechanised ultrasonic tests together with your experts on request.

Phased Array (PAUT* and mPAUT**)

Phased array and mechanised phased array tests offer you extended inspection statements in shorter examination times, on complicated components and in special inspection situations.

For this purpose, we use inspection techniques that are precisely adapted to your inspection situation.

Our experienced NDT engineers provide you with inspection results that help immediately. With the state of the art inspection technology, we solve your inspection tasks even under extreme conditions.

The most common scopes

Weld Seam

Weld Seam inspections are the classic among ultrasonic testing. The entire weld seam, including the surfaces, is inspected in accordance with the standards.

With ultrasonic weld seam inspections, no barriers and elaborate safety measures are required in your company. All activities in the vicinity of the inspection are still possible.

Your advantage: You save time with these reliable inspections.

All standards of weld seam testing are adhered to by our certified inspection team. The results of the ultrasonic weld seam inspection document the quality of your component.

Wall Thickness Measurement

Wall thicknesses are elementary information for the safe operation of your components.

Corrosion and erosion continuously reduces the wall thickness of components. With adapted Wall Thickness Measurements, we provide you with information on the local wall thickness with standard-compliant resolution. With these measurement results, you can responsibly monitor the operation of your system.

In hard-to-reach positions, our NDT engineers enable Wall Thickness Measurements with remote-controlled manipulators.

These manipulators reduce your inspection costs through systematic inspection concepts and adapted inspection parameters.

Special Inspections

Components that are exposed to special conditions in your company or have an unusual condition or position require very special inspection procedures.

Our experienced NDT engineers carry out standardised special inspections when conventional inspection techniques are not sufficient to achieve the desired results.
